Holy basil, or tulsi, as it is known in India is considered a sacred plant. In hinduism, it is considered the Queen of Herbs, and for good reason! Tulsi supports the immune system, the adrenal glands, the liver, blood pressure regulation, blood sugar regulation, boosts energy levels, and has been used to inhibit tumors. Many of these issues require working with an experienced herbalist to achieve desired results, but one simple way I find holy basil to be helpful is as an adaptogenic tonic- to restore vitality and balance energy during stressful times. It’s also a great addition to any immune support blends
