Welcome to my apothecary! I started learning about the remarkable healing quality of plants and making herbal products for my family 20 years ago, while living in the mountains of upstate NY. From that point on, I have dedicated my life to learning as much as possible about using herbs to support health and wellness. I am passionate about empowering people to learn all they can about herbs and how they can help support our health.
I have had the opportunities to learn from some amazing herbalists, such as Susun Weed, Jeanine Parvati-Baker, Rosemary Gladstar, and Jane Bothwell. In 2008, I completed Dandelion Herbal Center’s 10 month Herbal Studies Program in Herbal Therapeutics, Botanical Research, Plant Identification, Herbal Folklore and Healing Ways. Also in 2008, I completed Rosemary Gladstar’s Science and Art of Herbalism Course. In 2018, I completed Herbal Academy’s Herbal Entrepreneur Course, which led me to start Yemaya’s Apothecary in 2019. Aside from this, I have spent hundreds of hours researching and learning from the plants themselves, as they truly are the very best teachers in this field.
My products are all made with love, careful attention, and organic or ethically wildcrafted ingredients. Many of the herbs I use come from my garden in northern CA. Some I harvest locally or buy from farmers I know. The rest are sourced from high quality reputable suppliers who love plants as much as I do. Everything is made in small batches, and product availability changes with the seasons.
If you have any questions about any of the products, feel free to ask me. I also encourage you to do your own research about the herbs I offer, so you can decide what is right for you. If you do not see what you’re looking for, or if you are not sure exactly what you need, I’m happy to customize a blend specifically geared toward your situation. Keep in mind though that I am not a doctor and I do not offer medical advice.
Thank you for visiting. I look forward to sharing my love of the healing plants with you. Green Blessings!
