Usnea Tincture

Usnea spp.
Description
INGREDIENTS: Usnea lichen in organic vodka.
1 oz bottle
Usnea. Not a plant, not a fungus, not an algae. Usnea is a lichen, which is technically a combination of an algae and fungus.
Historically Usnea is one of the oldest documented medicinals in both Chinese and Western practices. It is both antibacterial and antifungal and has been used successfully against many types of infections, such as tuberculosis, strep, staph, and pneumonia. It has a special affinity for the lungs, especially involving wheezy, productive coughs. Many people who have lived in homes with black mold have used it to assist the lungs in eliminating pathogens.
It’s also been used against a variety of fungal infections, including candida, athlete’s foot, ringworm, and yeast infections.
Externally, Usnea (as either a tea wash or diluted tincture) has also been used to clean infected wounds.
In my opinion, Usnea is essential to have on hand during the times we are currently living in. It doesn’t need to be used all the time, but if you ever feel you need it, you’ll be happy that you kept it on hand.
SUGGESTED USE: 1-3 dropperfuls 3 times daily as needed.
