Willow Bark Tincture

INGREDIENTS: willow bark (Salix spp), vodka, vegetable glycerine (all ingredients organic and/or ethically wildcrafted whenever possible)

Many folks are familiar with willow bark. In 1828, pharmacists began to isolate and study salicin, which is the analgesic (pain relieving) constituent willow bark is known for. This led to the creation of aspirin in 1899, which actually ended up being derived from meadowsweet, not willow. Aside from this, willow has been used extensively all over the world to relieve pain and inflammation, and has a place in many of the oldest written herbal books.

IMPORTANT: willow is NOT a drug! Do not think of it as a substitute for aspirin. Whole herbs work very differently than their isolated constituents. When in doubt, ask your practitioner if willow is the right match for you.

Suggested Use: 2-5 dropperfuls up to 3 times daily, as needed.
